QUESTION:About 13 to 15 grand, depending on how you equip it. The one we used has
lug tires (liquid filled) and the smaller bucket. BTW, the tires look
like they are on backwards- they're not. The machine was recently set up (for a demo) with a trencher which is pulled through the ground.
ANSWER: Looks like a fun machine. How stable is it? What sort of warnings about
driving it up a grade and having it roll over and flatten the operator?
Is it powerful enough to dig with the bucket or just move loose materials?
It's ironic how a small machine like that costs as much as a small farm
tractor or a good used full-size loader backhoe, but I guess you can't drive
them down a sidewalk and move them in the back of a pickup.
I have a blast with a 30 year old Bobcat skid-steer,
used it this morning to move 4 tons of rock 1/4 mile, and it's also my
all-terrain forklift (1 ton capacity), couldn't live without it. It's not
as useful on uneven ground as a modern farm tractor, but it is a good choice
if you only want to have one piece of equipment to deal with. Spent $3000
for it 8 years ago, rough condition, it looks like it has rolled down a hill
end-over-end which it probably has, but anytime I think about replacing it,
have found nothing under $10K that would replace it.
