My obsessions ...was Re: Eating icecream?

QUESTION:

Just got home about an hour ago, DH and RA (10) have gone to bed exhausted, I behaved myself and didn't give the salesmen a to hard of a time, although one fellow thinks he's sold us a $45,000 machine...LOL....hope he does hold his breath waiting to hear back from us. We've brought home the usual amount of freebies, is anyone in need of any pens, stickers or caps? We met a "truckin' songs" singer who might be a distant relative of mine, same surname as my maiden name and his ancestors go back to England too, so I'll have to get my sister who does the family tree to look into that one for me. We also met the production manager from the company that manufactures our Mustang Skid Steer (bobcat), he was over here from Owatonna (US) just for the show so he could talk to owners of their machines to get feedback on their product. So all in all it went well. Thanks for asking.

ANSWER:

Sounds like you all had a good day :) My DH likes to keep salesmen thinking stuff like that as well!! I'm preparing to have a few "quieter " days - to offset the digging I did yesterday. Needed to make room for a small tree I've wanted for ages - so spent a mucky afternoon splitting clumps & moving stuff round to make room for the surprise present DH brought me home last weekend ! My mind is doing a happy dance - even if the rest of me can't quite manage one

I had forgotten the term covered this flat stuff as well - don't remember doing any but - then I'm old enough for inaccuracies in my memories! It would be so simple if we could bolt on extra memory space like you can do for computers wouldn't it? I know all my memories are in there somewhere - but it sometimes takes far too long to access them nowadays
& some of them have been miss-filed!!

These sound really good. One of the nicest I saw was in someone's home
& was a life size foxglove flower (digitalis) - similar size to the sets you've got waiting to be done & in a beautiful box frame. The detail was amazing!

We have a very small house as well - fine while I was still working - but I'm finding it a very restrictive now I've retired! DH doesn't get to retire for a some years yet (a bit earlier if they reduce the retirement age for men as well). Nearly 5 years ago He had to change to permanent nights (it was that or no job!!!) so I don't even get the house to myself in the daytime now I am home 'cos he's sleeping
& I can't do any thing noisy once he goes to bed
