QUESTION:Some time ago, I saw plans for a frontend loader / backhoe ride-on toy.
It had a simple but working scoop and was built for a child of about 5
years of age to sit on. I remember it as being quite a good plan. I
also seem to recall that it was in a book and not on the net... and I
can't remember where I saw it. Damn!
Does anyone know of a book or a web site where I can get good plans for
his toy. I have found only ONE on the net so far (and I've been
searching solidly for about 2-3 days), and it's pretty ordinary. I have
found none in the few books at the 4 libraries within my reach (Melbourne).
ANSWER: I did see something like this as well in a plan catalogue that was in
Hardwarehouse or Bunnings. I can't remember the name either but at least it
might give you a starting point. I think they also advertise in Australian
Woodworking but can't find an example at the moment either.
By the way, G'day is only pronounced as Gid-diy by Greek greengrocers named
Con For our overseas readers, I apologise but this is a joke that would
take too long to explain, and you wouldn't laugh anyway because you had to
be there
In the Queensland bush, where I was born, it's more commonly pronounced as
Gurrrrrr-day or Gday (as in one syllable)
