QUESTION:We've been trying (unsuccessfully) to find a place to rent a flat-
bed trailer so we can haul some fence-rails. We need one at least
12 ft. long and rated up to 2000lbs. Any suggestions? We can pick
it up anywhere in the triangle or even Greensboro.
ANSWER: If you try any "rent-all" place, you might find what you are looking
for. I've rented flatbeds before from Holland Rentals on Western
Blvd. ( next to Buchanon's (sp) Nursery ). Actually, what I rented
was the trailer for a large backhoe. I told them I didn't need to
rent the backhoe but really wanted to use the trailer. We agreed
to a price, they backed the equipment off of the trailer and I was
driving away with the trailer attached to my rear bumper. I've
needed the bed twice and both times had no problems with them
accomadating me. Now I own a small flatbed of my own so I have no
need to rent one anymore.
