Rc Construction Equipment
QUESTION:I stand corrected, by you and RC. I guess it could be vault construction and grave digging might not have been as
problematic as I had surmised. However, as you agreed, getting all this rigmarole over to the Oval would have been
quite complicated - a concrete vault, a heavy casket. I just don't picture the bridge that was shown being able to safely
accomodate all that, and I certainly believe no one would have risked a debacle of any of that, to say nothing of the
grieving mourners, being pitched into the lake.
ANSWER: I haven't seen a picture of the bridge, so I have no idea of it's
construction. Not all construction equipment is dinosaur sized. Could the
bridge have held smaller eqipment? You can get bobcats and backhoes from
equipment rentals here in the states - is the same equipment available in
England? There had been work being done on Althorp, wasn't there? About
the time Diana died? If the equipment was already there they may have been
able to dig the grave and bring the liner in with a bobcat. I don't know
how they would have lowered it though. Carefully is my guess.
