Owatonna Skid Steer

QUESTION:

I don't have that struggle - DH has no gardening inclinations -but gets to do most of the heavy stuff nowadays for me. My DH used to leave it all to me but awhile back he bought an antique plough and told me what plants to buy for him because he was making his first garden with the plough as a feature. He chose all the different colored hedging varieties and mondo grass and a topiary tree (not a flower in sight he planted it all, admired how great it all looked then he bought me a set of hedgecutters for my birthday, so guess what, it's my garden now Hope the hedgecutters were electric! It sound like you have a large garden or is it a farm?

ANSWER:

We are on 10 acres but a lot of it is still natural bushland, lots of gum trees. We were finding the council were getting much stricter about parking the truck at home in town, so we chose to move out a bit. Plenty of room to park the truck out of sight but a very small house :(

The actual ground is very rocky so we need to bring in soil when we want to add a garden, I've got a nice sized veggie patch (which is in bad need of weeding ATM), 2 flower gardens and DH's hedged one, luckily it's the smallest, maybe he was hinting that the other gardens should be hedged too and I also have a small bush house to grow the things that need shade. Just got home about an hour ago, DH and RA (10) have gone to bed exhausted, I behaved myself and didn't give the salesmen a to hard of a time, although one fellow thinks he's sold us a $45,000 machine...LOL....hope he does hold his breath waiting to hear back from us. We've brought home the usual amount of freebies, is anyone in need of any pens, stickers or caps? We met a "truckin' songs" singer who might be a distant relative of mine, same surname as my maiden name and his ancestors go back to England too, so I'll have to get my sister who does the family tree to look into that one for me. We also met the production manager from the company that manufactures our Mustang Skid Steer (bobcat), he was over here from Owatonna (US) just for the show so he could talk to owners of their machines to get feedback on their product. So all in all it went well. Thanks for asking.

Bev - due to troubles posting this is very late, it was written Friday night.
