Mini Skid Steer

QUESTION:

We'll give you a hot deal on a Case 1816 if you decide you really want one. It's a little run down but it works and the price is right.

Generally the smaller loaders, like the 1816, that fit through a 48" doorway, are too small for any sort of digging. They are fine for moving and loading manure and loose materials.

ANSWER:

In my semi educated opinion, you will find that a small skid steer Bobcat
463/NH120 or the Case 1816 if still made, offer more capability and SAFETY than the machines you mention. And you will find that they cost about the same amount of money. They can all lift more than the chase arounds and the Bobcat has at least as much hydraulic power for attachment use, not sure on the others. Also you can get a very good used full size Skid Steer for similar money.
