QUESTION:Dallas on I-30 about a year ago....I was in the center lane in my big
truck, a car was passing me on the left, a fool on a cycle passes me on
the left, between my rig and the car ...Good thing I didn't swerve a
little.
ANSWER: During the 70's and 80's I carried a motorcycle. When I was in the heavy
equipment hauling it was no problem. I had a platform behind my headache rack
and I had a come along mounted onto an arm that let me lift the bike right onto
the deck. Put four straps on it and go. I carried a Yamaha 400 Enduro most of
the time. I carried the Harley a couple times but I was worried that someone
would steal it so it usually stayed at home. It was great for the slack times
when I was sitting somewhere waiting for a load. Even better for finding
drilling rigs and construction sites way out in the boondocks. Just make sure
you don't run out of gas heading out to that hard to get to fishin' hole in the
middle of Wyoming wilderness.
