QUESTION:I'm seeking feedback from companies that feel that their equipment
maintenance costs are too high. I'm currently doing some research into
the Service industry. I'm writing a book about the problems companies
are having getting fair and honest service. Long term goal is to get
some regulations in place to protect companies from the dishonest
service providers.
1. I would like to hear about experiences you have had with forklift
service companies. 2. Do you feel they are over charging for their services ? 3. Do you feel the mechanics are competent and ethical ? 4. What is your biggest complaint with service companies ? 5. May I contact you via Email or phone for additional information ?
ANSWER: 1&2.The company I deal with charges me $120 a month. Not outlandish. That
includes the forklift, so I can't see any reason to complain. It seldom
breaks down; but when it does, I want it fixed "yesterday".
3.Yes.
4.They won't do it "yesterday". But they do arrive within 24 hours, which
is reasonable.
