QUESTION:Is the Excavator going to be like the FE Bus? Will they not make any
more and leave it at that? How many Excavators were actually made?
ANSWER: I don't think the excavator is as rare as the FE bus, which I never
found. I did find and bought about four excavators, and left several
others at various times, as I was hunting newer stuff. They did just
seem to quit coming out months ago.
The reason it is "RARE" is because Mattel stopped making them for safety
reasons. When taken out of the blister, the pin comes out of the scoop. This
did not fall under the guide lines set down for ages 3 years and over. In other
words small children could choke on parts of the scoop. This model has been
"DISCONTINUED" This will become a HTF Hot Wheel. Call Mattel and ask
