Come2myaid: Piece ID ? (Yellow Excavator bucket)

QUESTION:

I,ve recently aquired a load of LEGO and have a host of misc. parts to ID

One is an Excavator bucket in Yellow, with connecting arm (fits into 1x2x1 yellow brick with pivot holes in ends) the bucket has 7 teeth and is approx 7x4 nubs in dimension.

I also have various technical odds and sods.(hydraulic hose 2 inches long, gear wheels, flashing road signs, yellow battery pack)

Does all this belong to the same kit, if so which, and do you have a copy of the plans ?

ANSWER:

The bucket, road sign, and battery box point quite forcefully towards set 6481, called Light System Construction Set in the 1992 U.S. Shop at Home catalog.

I don't have it (wish I did).

BTW, the picture above that on the same page, of 6352 Cargomaster Crane, has the same blue cockpit piece that I thought you were referring to earlier (I said it was in 6399). A similar blue windshield, that looks to be 7 studs long, can be found on 6430 Night Patroller, which was in the same catalog. (6352 is a yellow crane, 6430 is a police vehicle).
